d. Get the main ideas on paper
3. Revising
a. Use a different color than what you used for your rough draft
b. Check for a beginning, middle, and end
c. Does it make sense
d. Does it include details
e. Change or add to story as needed
4. Edit
a. Use a different color than what you used for your rough draft
b. Capitals where needed
c. Punctuation
d. Spelling
5. Publish
a. Rewrite in your best handwriting
b. Type on computer (you, teacher, parent)
c. Illustrate (optional)
6. Share your story
a. With classmates
b. With teachers
c. With parents
d. With anyone else
